Problems & Background

Under the busy work and high-pressure life brought by modern society, it is difficult for people to take most of their time to pack up the house and their belongings. Coupled with people's growing desire for shopping, the items around everyone are becoming more and more. It becomes increasingly difficult to quickly find what you want to use when you need it, and you run the risk of losing valuables.

Challenge

Confirm the location of the item in the shortest time and guide people to find it!

Research

Interview and questionnaire survey

I conducted a questionnaire survey of about 10 people and interviewed 3 people of different ages in a one-on-one manner. Since everyone has their own different habits in life, my interview is more inclined to understand their own understanding of storage and organization.

After summarizing, I found that most people have the following pain points in daily storage and organization.

Findings

Following people's demand for finding items, more and more manufacturers have launched item finders of different models and functions, and provided supporting app services. But for buyers, they have to be loyal to one brand, if not, there will be many different apps downloaded on the phone, which further complicates the use of item finders.

Brainstorming

According to the insights I collected from the user research, I brainstormed the features and functions which are based on the journey map for potential user requirements, and convert user needs into my design requirements.
